Medina County Warrant Records Medina County Warrant Records

Skip the hunt for one countywide search box. A Medina County warrant lookup works office by office, and the right one depends on which court holds the case. City courts, four JP precincts, the District Clerk, the County Clerk, and the sheriff each play a different part. Hondo and Lytle put court tools online. Castroville and Devine post dated lists, and Natalia sends you to its clerk. Start with the court named on your citation or case paper, and have the case number and date of birth ready. A clear result may miss another court or a newer status, so ask the issuing clerk to confirm what the record means. There is no single answer here. Medina County simply has many doors.

Medina County Warrant Search Fields

Medina County has no single sheriff warrant form with standard fields. The table below describes two municipal tools, not a countywide database. Hondo's court page lists name and date of birth, citation number, or case number. Lytle's portal separates five search routes. The pages do not clearly mark every field as required, so follow the live interface and call the clerk when it rejects a search.

Medina County Public Search Is an Index

The County Clerk links its Public Search page for county records. It offers a search term, date range, recorded-date presets, and a choice between indexed data and index plus full text (OCR). OCR means text recognized from scanned documents. These controls help research records in that system; they are not a warrant-type, active-status, or service filter.

The County Clerk's page says filed County Court at Law records are public and describes a public terminal at the annex. A Tyler case-search link is also provided, but the reviewed landing page did not confirm exact warrant fields. Start with the court record link only when the case belongs to that court.

The County Clerk's public page shows its research terminal and search links.

A date range can narrow an index query, but a missing entry still needs a court-side check.

Medina County Warrant Search Shows

A Hondo municipal report provides a local example of list fields, while other county and city sources may show something else. The Hondo report header includes name, warrant number, R/S, date of birth, issue date, and offense. It does not show bond, judge, or service history in that header. A Tyler case result is a court record, not automatic proof of a live warrant.

NumberHondo report uses the printed warrant number; no countywide pattern was documented: Warrant #
Charge / OffenseRead the listed offense as the city's wording, then ask the clerk to explain any code.
Issuing CourtConfirm whether the case belongs to a city, JP, County Court at Law, or District Court.
Bond AmountNot shown in the Hondo sample header; the court or jail must confirm any amount.
StatusA dated list may not show later recall or service; request a current court answer.

Medina County Warrant Lists Have Different Dates

Hondo links a June 2025 active-warrant report; Castroville links a 2023-2025 list and a historical 1996-2022 list; Devine's court page links an August 2026 list. Their dates and court scopes should stay attached to every description. Castroville's public page lists docket archives through 2026 but does not expose an interactive warrant search.

These lists are useful leads, not a shared Medina County roster. They may not include another city's cases, a JP ticket, a district case, or a recently changed status. A name absent from one PDF is not enough to close the question.

Where to Check Warrants in Medina County

Four JP courts keep their own precinct cases: JP1 and JP3 in Hondo, JP2 in Castroville, and JP4 in Devine. A citation tells you which office to call. The District Clerk serves 454th District Court records, while the County Clerk handles County Court at Law files. Municipal courts maintain city matters. The sheriff's Warrant & Extradition Clerks help with county-held or served process.

Texas has no single public statewide search for all county and city warrants. DPS/OmniBase is a failure-to-appear or failure-to-pay compliance channel tied to license renewal, not a warrant database. DPS directs people to each reporting court for amounts, appearance rules, and case status. Use its phone service only for that limited compliance question.

Medina County Warrant Hits Need Court Confirmation

Suppose an old Hondo PDF matches a citation but the court recently accepted payment. Call Hondo Municipal Court at (830) 426-7058 and ask whether the warrant was recalled, whether the case is disposed, and what date remains. If the paper names JP4 instead, Hondo's list cannot answer the JP4 case. Do not assume a payment page or license status settles both records.

For district matters, the 454th District Court lists coordinators at (830) 444-2907 and (830) 444-2778. The County Court at Law is at (830) 741-6060. Ask the right clerk to explain how to view the case file and confirm warrant status.

Medina County Warrant Access Rules

Public access depends on who holds the record and what kind of process it is. Texas executive offices use the Public Information Act, while judicial case records follow court access rules, including Rule 12 where it applies. Juvenile warrant information has added confidentiality protections. A sealed record or an unserved investigative document may not appear in a public search.

Key Rules:

Sealed material and records covered by a court order are not made public through a general search.

Texas Family Code Chapter 58 limits public access to juvenile records, including specified arrest-warrant information.

A missing result may reflect another court, a limited list, or a record that is not open; ask the issuing clerk.

Medina County Has No Single Warrant Database

The Sheriff's public page does not provide a searchable active-warrant or most-wanted roster. City courts publish different materials: Hondo links a dated list, Devine posts an active-warrant file, Castroville separates current and historic periods, and other cities direct residents to a clerk or case portal. Those local sources do not combine into one county result. Confirm a possible match with the issuing court or law-enforcement office.

The Texas DPS failure-to-appear and failure-to-pay process is limited to driver-license compliance; it is not a statewide county-warrant lookup. A result there should be treated as a licensing issue until the court confirms any separate warrant.

Medina County Warrant Clerk Search Steps

Medina County's County Clerk and District Clerk keep different court records. The County Clerk search offers a term, date range, recorded-date presets, and index-only or OCR options, but those fields are not a dedicated warrant-status filter. District-level cases should be routed to the District Clerk or the issuing court. Include a case number, relevant date range, and the specific record requested when contacting a custodian.
