Medina County Municipal Court Warrants
Municipal courts handle their own city cases, including traffic, ordinance, and other Class C matters. The city court's warrant, citation, and payment records are separate from the 454th District Court, County Court at Law, and JP records. The Medina County Sheriff page does not combine them into one public list.
For a city warrant, the city clerk or municipal court is the starting point. Hondo says its court handles Hondo PD citations and cases; Devine says DPS tickets go to JP4. A county name alone is not enough to choose a search.
Medina County Municipal Warrants by City
Five researched municipal courts show different access patterns. Their offices hold their own matters; a city list is not a county roster and may omit newer case events.
| City | Court route | Local access feature | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hondo | Hondo Municipal Court | Name/DOB, citation or case search; dated PDF | 830-426-7058 |
| Castroville | Castroville Municipal Court | Two dated lists; docket archive | 830-931-4089 |
| Devine | Devine Municipal Court | August 2026 list; DPS tickets go to JP4 | 830-663-2804 |
| Lytle | Lytle Municipal Court | Five portal search routes; walk-in process | 830-709-3692 |
| Natalia | Natalia Municipal Court | Clerk-first route; no public list located | 830-663-2926 |
Medina County Municipal Warrant Courts by City
Hondo, Castroville, Devine, Natalia, and Lytle publish separate municipal-court routes in the research. Unincorporated precinct matters belong to a JP court. Even within one city, the city municipal court and the JP office can be different venues: Castroville has JP2, and Devine has JP4.
| City | Court | What It Handles |
|---|---|---|
| Hondo, Castroville | City Municipal Court | City traffic, ordinance, and Class C matters |
| Devine | City Municipal Court / JP4 for DPS tickets | City PD citations, plus separate precinct matters |
| Natalia | Natalia Municipal Court | City citations, monthly court, and DPS FTA contract |
| Lytle | Lytle Municipal Court | Class C city cases; city spans three counties |
Medina County Municipal Warrants Have Separate Portals
Lytle's portal separates citation number plus date of birth, driver's license plus state and date of birth, vehicle plate plus state, name plus date of birth, and business name. The interface is useful for Lytle Municipal Court cases, but it is not documented as covering all city or county warrants.
Confirm the court on the ticket before relying on a portal result.
Medina County Municipal Warrant Search Steps
Use the city court's own lookup when one is documented, then contact that clerk for a current status. Hondo accepts name/DOB, citation, or case number; Lytle offers multiple portal routes. Castroville and Devine link dated lists. Natalia's official pages provide a clerk and schedule but no public active list was located.
- Match the city court and citation number on the paper.
- Open that court's official search or date-labeled list, if it publishes one.
- Call the municipal clerk to confirm status, amount, appearance need, and any update lag.
- Ask the court before visiting; if no public search exists, use its direct clerk route.
Medina Natalia Warrant Search: Clerk First
Natalia's court page lists 830-663-2926 and court@cityofnatalia.com, office hours Monday through Friday with a noon lunch closure, and court on the second Friday each month. It describes a DPS failure-to-appear contract but does not expose an active-warrant PDF or interactive warrant form in the reviewed pages.
A Natalia resident should ask the clerk whether the citation created a warrant, whether appearance is required, and whether DPS compliance is separate. The city's police office and municipal court are at separate addresses, though Medina County dispatch is the after-hours route in the police information.
Medina County Municipal Warrant Record Fields
City list schemas vary. Hondo's report header shows a warrant number, R/S, DOB, issue date, and offense but no bond. Castroville links date-bounded lists without a verified search form. A public PDF may not show later payment or recall activity, so the clerk's answer carries the current court status.
| Warrant / Cause No. | Use the number shown on the citation or list: Warrant # |
|---|---|
| Charge / Offense | City wording may describe traffic, ordinance, or a failure-to-appear event. |
| Issuing Court | Confirm which municipal court owns the case, not only the city name. |
| Bond / Fine | Not present in every list; ask the clerk for current amount and options. |
| Status | Verify whether active, recalled, served, paid, or awaiting another setting. |
Medina County Warrant Lists Need City Labels
Hondo links its June 2025 report, Castroville links a 2023-2025 list and an older 1996-2022 document, and Devine links an August 2026 list. Attach the city and date to every mention. A city list is not the county sheriff's list; no public searchable countywide sheriff roster was located.
Crime Stoppers and most-wanted program pages are tip channels, not municipal court files. Do not copy a name, photo, or row from a linked list onto a general information page. A court clerk can explain a specific citation without turning the site into a roster.
Medina County Municipal Warrant Resolution Steps
Ask the city court what will recall the warrant and whether the case still needs a plea or hearing. Hondo describes a safe court-window route. Lytle expressly says active-warrant defendants may appear as walk-ins, worked between initial hearings, and an initial payment may be needed to request installments. These are local statements, not a countywide rule.
- Call the issuing municipal clerk with the citation or case number.
- Ask whether payment, a personal appearance, a reset, a bond, or counsel's motion is required.
- Ask if payment decides the charge or leaves a hearing and next date.
- Get a receipt and separate confirmation that the warrant is recalled and any DPS report updated.
Warning: A city portal or license status cannot confirm that the municipal court recalled its warrant; request a current answer from the issuing clerk.
Medina City Warrant Lists Carry Dates
Hondo's municipal report is dated June 2025, Devine's active-warrant file carries an August 2026 date, and Castroville keeps separate 2023-2025 and historic lists alongside docket records. Lytle's portal searches case violations, while Natalia has no located public active list. These sources have different scopes and update patterns. Note the source date and ask the responsible clerk whether a result is current before acting on it.
Medina County City Warrant Resolution Routes Differ
Local resolution instructions also vary. Hondo describes its court window as a safe place to address a warrant and says a payment in lieu of appearance is a conviction; Lytle allows a person with an active warrant to speak with the court and warns an initial payment may be needed for an installment agreement. Devine lists online fees, while Natalia directs people to its clerk. Ask the named court which procedure applies.
Keep a citation or cause number and write down the clerk's instructions. A city court cannot settle a separate JP or county case merely because both records concern the same person.
